Now to Orvieto. We parked in a multi-level parking structure and took an elevator, an escalator, a people mover and steps to exit the garage (Whew!). As we were late for lunch (do you see a pattern here?) we headed to the first restaurant we saw, Trattoria Cucina Tipica Orvietana, a large restaurant with only one table occupied. Hmmm...bad sign, but we ventured in anyway. (Note: We returned to this restaurant in 2009 and it had new owners and a new menu.)  We shared a mixed salad and bruschetta with assorted toppings, a plate of spaghetti and one of the daily specials, lasagna with pecorino cheese and honey (below). This lasagna won our Gold Medal for Pasta. I wish I had the recipe. We walked around the town and after a while found the main piazza showcasing a beautiful 13th Century Cathedral.
