We had lunch at “La Terrazza del Chiostro” in the Hotel Il Chiostro de Pienza. This is “the” luxury hotel of the town, and the terrace restaurant was an oasis with a breathtaking view. I had a mixed salad and gnocchi with wild boar sauce. Maritza had zucchini with a cheese filling (above) and a cheese-filled crepe. We shared a bottle of wine and a dessert of assorted pecorino cheeses and honey. This was a splurge lunch and well worth it. After lunch we strolled a bit through Pienza where I found many photo opportunities.

Prior to our decadent lunch our hotel made dinner reservations for us at Trattoria Latte di Luna. We ate inside where smoking is not permitted. We shared an order of bruschetta and an order of roasted pork. I had homemade noodles with truffles (below) and Maritza had spaghetti with tomato sauce. Cost: 34 euros. This was definitely a food day, but then how can you not indulge when in Tuscany?
